Personalized Patient Advocacy & Clinical Navigation

about the founder

Vickey McCarter, MBA/HCM, BSN, RN

Coastal Path Patient Advocacy was founded by Vickey McCarter, a Registered Nurse with more than 30 years of clinical healthcare experience.

Throughout her career, Vickey has worked across hospital, surgical, and care coordination environments, supporting patients and families during some of their most complex healthcare experiences.

Her background includes perioperative care, recovery nursing, chronic disease navigation, and healthcare quality management. This diverse experience has provided a deep understanding of how healthcare systems function and where patients often need additional support.

Why Coastal Path Was Created

Healthcare decisions are often made during stressful and uncertain moments.

Patients and families are frequently expected to interpret complicated medical information, coordinate multiple providers, and make important decisions with little guidance.

Coastal Path Patient Advocacy was created to provide clear, structured support during these moments — helping individuals better understand their care, prepare for conversations with providers, and navigate the healthcare system with greater confidence.
